Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation and focused concentration. It is likened to day dreaming or being “in the zone” where you forget all about everything going on around you and you lose complete track of time.
Have you ever driven somewhere and you arrive at your destination only to think, “How did I get here? I don’t remember the drive at all!” This is a natural state of hypnosis. Everyone is able to enter into a state of hypnosis.
I often hear my new clients express doubt about their ability to enter into hypnosis. I tell them that it is a perfectly natural state of being and that they will be able to relax and focus.
Even I had my doubts when I first experienced hypnosis. I thought, “My brain is so active and busy, will I be able to do it?” However, once I experienced my first session of hypnosis, I was elated. Being in a state of hypnosis was a euphoric journey into deep relaxation.
Hypnosis allows you to bypass the critical mind and tap into the subconscious mind. All of the self-doubt and criticism takes a break and you can relax and find your path back to your true self.
Hypnotherapy is the use of the hypnotic state toward a therapeutic outcome. It is extremely effective for getting rid of negative habits, self-doubt, relieving grief, anxiety and stress, and creating healthy habits that are aligned with your goals.
My clients have been able to relieve themselves of panic attacks, learn to be mindful and stay in the present moment (“staying on today” as I call it), and alleviate pain such as headaches and stomach aches that are worsened by stress and anxiety.
Clients have also used hypnotherapy to lose weight by creating healthier eating habits, getting into regular exercise habits, and changing their relationship with food. They have also stopped smoking and created new lives as non-smokers. Other clients have enjoyed better intimacy in their relationships, and have even experienced fertility and started that long-desired family.
